India Pesticides Limited has its own R&D department to the development of innovative chemical technologies for speciality and bulk AgroChemicals and Bulk Drugs.

With its focussed R&D effort in the recent past , it has been able to improve the process conditions for existing products resulting in better product and has developed process conditions for other Agrochemicals of large usage. Development of technology for Mancozeb 2,4,5, Trichloroaniline, DDVP, Chlorpyriphos, Quinalphos, Captan, Folpet, Thiophosgene and Tolnaftate etc. are some of the major contribution of the R&D efforts.

The major raw material required for captan product namely perchloromethyl Mercaptan( PCMM) has also been developed in our plant and the same PCMM has been used for Labscale experiments, Pilot Plant & Commercial Plant. This is one of the major advantage we have for this product.

Apart from the above, at present pilot plant work is being done for Phosphomedon Tech, Quinalphos Tech, Proferophos Tech, Thio Phenol Methyl Tech, Carbendizam product. Experimental work on lab-scale is going on for folpet,4-Cap, Thiophenate Methyl.
